Swimming in a speedo is the most COMFORTABLE thing I've EVER felt.

I have to say, though, for me, there are plusses and minusses to Speedos and Board-Shorts. I vote that every man own one, and if he feels comfortable wearing it in public outside of exercise in the pool (to the beach), then by all means, let him do it.Kengo Biddleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12083962910965544925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-60629362187591733522007-05-26T04:19:00.000-04:002007-05-26T04:19:00.000-04:00As a fellow swimmer, I've seen a lot of guys in sp...As a fellow swimmer, I've seen a lot of guys in speedos in my lifetime. Sometimes it was flattering, other times not so much. So I'm immune. Large men in speedos don't really phase me. Speedos are great racing suits (much better than board shorts, I would imagine because of the drag), but that is all they are: racing suits. I just think it's weird to see guys at the beach in speedos. Speedos don't belong at the beach. They belong in a lap pool. So unless the guy is swimming laps or racing, I don't want to see it.

But that's just me.Stephalumpagushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12586076007803308768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-29008973198564620372007-05-25T14:47:00.000-04:002007-05-25T14:47:00.000-04:00um, no speedos for drex and i can think of at leas...um, no speedos for drex and i can think of at least 100 people just off hand who don't look good in speedos *shudders*saladhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07932167494756697488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-4160463847561997262007-05-25T14:10:00.000-04:002007-05-25T14:10:00.000-04:00I swim nightly and have been for the past year. th...I swim nightly and have been for the past year. though i think it would be interesting to swim in speedos i prefer my drag shorts that way i get a better work out.

besides i still haven't got to the point where society or myself in all reality would appreciate me in that regard.Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03828931862423178491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-31437059648040992742007-05-25T13:41:00.000-04:002007-05-25T13:41:00.000-04:00I know we're all being super-nice here and I under...I know we're all being super-nice here and I understand we're all super-understanding about everything.

That said, no way should most people ever wear speedos. I'm okay with that, too, because I'm a fairly self-conscious person when it comes to my body. Being ridiculed for being thin and gangly as a lad does that to a guy.

Interestingly enough, I have no qualms wearing short shorts for running (I did cross country and track through middle and high school). I think, then, that a lot of it is comfort with the activity you're engaging in, as well. I don't have a swimmer's build, but I have (well, more like had, now...) a runner's build.

Meh.drexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08140401181617757573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-37035589340275672007-05-25T12:18:00.000-04:002007-05-25T12:18:00.000-04:00Brady,You have good concerns because I really didn...Brady,

You have good concerns because I really didn't make myself clear. I was going off of Max's statement about speedos being more flattering on guys in better shape (my personal preference). My preference doesn't matter though. I see people who are bigger that come in and buy speedos all the time and they are happy and content to wear them (I probably wouldn't wear one if I looked like that before I wore my first speedo). I'm proud of them for not caring what others think of them. They are definitely on my heroes list!

Gimple

P.S. Get a smaller size and you would look better and then I would give you my permission. :)Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16629678782997797603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-91048915640592833512007-05-25T08:05:00.000-04:002007-05-25T08:05:00.000-04:00every man, whether he is straight or gay, should o...every man, whether he is straight or gay, should own a speedo

I testify that you do NOT want to see me in a speedo!Abelard Enigmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13166049686152203530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-39351544133538209002007-05-25T00:57:00.000-04:002007-05-25T00:57:00.000-04:00Wait, so in saying that not everyone should wear a...Wait, so in saying that not everyone should wear a speedo aren't we getting back to the "try and figure out how well you look compared to other people and decide if you're qualified to show it to others" mentality? I mean, if we're all supposed to be comfortable with ourselves, shouldn't fat and ugly people be advised the same as anyone (to not be so self-conscious and get in a speedo too)!?

I'm just so confused! So the good-looking body is a must when you are wearing a speedo. Also, people who are in fairly good shape also look good in a speedo (you don't have to be completely chiseled, but you still have to have some man meat on you). Speedos are wonderful! :)Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16629678782997797603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5116872098567617510.post-59770891050941698702007-05-24T22:58:00.000-04:002007-05-24T22:58:00.000-04:00I love swimming laps in a speedo. They are more flattering the board shorts on a well formed specimen, but on the not-so-well-formed I'm going to have to go with board shorts. :DMax Powerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14955796304197971564noreply@blogger.com
