My Life Story

30 May 2007
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way..."

-Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

This is the way that my life has always been. I do not see it getting any different.

I was amused by your choice of quotes given our conversation last night, but though I hate Dickens, I will admit that some of his quote are extremely well put together and do tend to express what we're feeling. You're great!

I've always enjoyed dickens, epecially that particular quote. however i think everyone has those same thoughts and feelings regardless.

my grandfather taught me that when life gets down, dont worry it'll get on an upward trend soon. just be patient and learn from it.

Hey I came back to find this post because it's exactly how I'm feeling right now. The last few days actually. I don't know why, but it seems like the happier I get the deeper sadness and sorrow I feel too. Life is so confusing sometimes, and I just don't know what to do about it. It really is the best of times and the worst of times. I am so happy with everything that is going on right now and the position I'm in, and with the friends I have. But I wonder where it is really all leading me... I mean, what will it even mean 10 years from now? And thinking about where I'll be 10 years from now is a scary thought too. Anyway, I just decided to comment on this because it hit me hard today.
